What it is
You bring CNIC, latest K-Electric bill, ownership or owner NOC, photos, their form. Installer brings SLD, inverter anti-islanding sheet, flash/serials, earthing test. Then inspection → demand notice → you pay K-Electric → meter swap → connection order.

Shop SKU “green meter Rs 18,500” is not the K-Electric demand notice. Grandfathered 1:1 only if the agreement was executed before 9 Feb 2026. Plant kW cannot exceed sanctioned load. Sample city page: Karachi.

- Read sanctioned load on the K-Electric bill.
- Collect CNIC, ownership, photos.
- Installer: SLD, datasheets, flash, earth test.
- Submit to K-Electric, track inspection.
- Pay demand notice to the DISCO, not WhatsApp.
What the demand notice is
A K-Electric demand notice is their price for the meter, security and whatever that circle is charging this year. It is not a shop accessory. Paying it to an agent without a receipt in your name is how files vanish.
After the meter
App export and DISCO export should be cousins, not strangers. First three bills: check the export column. If K-Electric shows zero export and the dongle shows export, photograph both the same hour and go to the circle, not Facebook.
Worked example — Quetta
Take a 6 kW-class hybrid in Quetta (QESCO, ~5.8 PSH). 10 × 645 W is 6.45 kW DC. Derated yield ≈ 6.45 × 5.8 × 0.78 ≈ 29.2 kWh on a clean day — then high PSH and cold January Voc. Can I export without filing?
Not legally. Hybrid can self-consume without export.
Is KE different from K-Electric?
K-Electric is its own utility. Everyone else is a PEPCO-world DISCO with local habits.
