Latest battery: 51.2 V LFP, ~5.12 kWh. Not four tubulars.
Dyness DL5.0C, Knox LIO / Powerwall, Narada, Exide Atlantic, BYD LV5, SolarMax, Pylontech. Tubular 200 Ah is still a budget UPS chemistry — it is not a 2026 hybrid bank.

Calculator default is Dyness DL5.0C at Rs 252,000. Lists disagree by city and by whether the pack is IP20 rack or IP55 wall. Confirm CAN protocol against the inverter before you pay.

Why LFP won
Same usable kWh. Completely different decade.
48 / 51.2 V is the house voltage
Four 12 V tubular in series, or one 51.2 V LFP rack. Mixing 24 V leftovers with a 48 V hybrid is how boards die. 12 V LFP “UPS bricks” are not a solar bank.
DoD is the real capacity
200 Ah tubular at 50% DoD is 1.2 kWh usable at 12 V — not 2.4. Four of them ≈ one 5 kWh LFP. The calculator already applies DoD and inverter efficiency.
Closed-loop CAN
LFP wants a matching inverter protocol (Pylon / BYD / Growatt / Dyness / Knox). “Any lithium” on a cheap hybrid is a fire and warranty story.
Night AC needs a stack
One 5 kWh pack covers lights, fans, fridge, router for a long shed. Two 1.5-ton inverter ACs at night need ~10–15 kWh usable — two or three packs, not a bigger tubular room. Use the battery calculator with night watts = 2400 and hours = 6.
Do not wait for LFP to get cheaper
China cut the battery export VAT rebate 9% → 6% in 2026 (heading to zero). Street 5 kWh mid-brands already sit Rs 2.0–2.8 lakh. If you need backup, buy the bank this season.
