PWM is a dimmer. MPPT is a gearbox.
PWM connects the panel toward the battery voltage and throws away the rest as heat. MPPT converts the extra voltage into current. On a 100 V string charging a 51.2 V pack, PWM wastes a lot.

Take a 10 kW-class hybrid in Hyderabad (HESCO, ~5.3 PSH). 16 × 645 W is 10.32 kW DC. Derated yield ≈ 10.32 × 5.3 × 0.78 ≈ 42.7 kWh on a clean day — then heat derate before paperwork.
