The system is not finished at commissioning. Dust is the second inverter.
Competitor “Sol Care” pages sell a subscription. The actual work is wash, torque, earth, firmware, and a CAN battery that still talks. We write the schedule. You decide who holds the mop.
Warranty paper
Serials, not a laminated card.
| Part | Typical 2026 paper | What voids it |
|---|---|---|
| Tier-1 plates | 12 yr product / 30 yr linear power (check the lot) | No flash report, mixed strings, undocumented “Longi” |
| Hybrid inverter | 5 yr local (Inverex / Knox / SolarMax); some imports 5–10 | Indoor IP20 in dust, wrong battery protocol, no earth |
| LFP pack | 5 yr local / 10 yr premium (Pylon, BYD, some Dyness) | “Any lithium” on a cheap hybrid, >45 °C cupboard, no CAN |
| Workmanship | Installer year 1–2 (ask in writing) | Someone else rewired the backup DB |
Schedule
What we do, and what you can do.
Every 2–4 weeks
Hose the plates at dawn or dusk. Karachi / Multan dust is a 10–15% summer loss if you skip it. No abrasive, no dry wipe that sands the glass.
Every 6 months
Clamp torque (mid 12–15 N·m, end 20–25). MC4 seating. Isolator test. Inverter firmware. LFP SOC calibration. Earth ≤10 Ω.
Every monsoon
Look at cut edges on GI iron. Coastal: aluminium rails or extra HDG. Log a string Voc vs the commissioning sheet — a dead string is usually a connector, not a plate.
Monitoring apps
Growatt / Solarman, Inverex SmartESS / Solarman, Knox / SolarMax vendor apps, Huawei FusionSolar, PylonView. Closed-loop CAN is not the same as a Wi-Fi dongle. If the dongle is offline, the system can still be running — check the box LEDs before you panic.
What we will not sell as “AI monitoring”
A WhatsApp screenshot of today’s kWh is not a NOC. SkyElectric and Solar Citizen sell platforms. We will wire the dongle and give you the login. Fault-finding is still a person with a clamp meter.
